Stephen Culley's first visit to the society took us on a birdwatching tour of North Wales. Throughout the evening he showcased the region's natural beauty, wild places and of course its diverse birdlife. He showed us where to find the more common along with Welsh specialities such as Chough, Little Tern and Black Grouse. Also on show were a number of the rarities which have turned up over years proving North Wales is indeed one of premier birding destinations in the UK.
Stephen's talk was informative, providing us with breeding figures for some of the star birds over the last few years, but also featured plenty of lighter moments and anecdotes of his escapades while birding in the region.
Penny makes the introductions!
